Make your mark for patientsWe are looking for an Upstream Process Technician who is highly adaptable and has an excellent team spirit to join our team at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud, Brabant Wallon, Belgium.About the role:The role involves conducting production activities and analyses related to cell culture in accordance with cGMP and safety standards, to ensure that the upstream manufacturing process is stable, safe, and meets predefined conditions.Who you will work with:You will join a competent and dynamic team of production technicians and interact daily with all functions responsible for the development of our new biotech production plant.What you will do:
  • Ensure the execution, measurement, analysis, monitoring, and adjustment of cell culture process-related activities.
  • Ensure the accuracy of task traceability performed.
  • Participate in the setup of production areas.
  • Participate in activities necessary for the start of production.
  • Carry out technical production batches, validation batches, and continuous production according to established procedures.
  • Identify potential risks during activity execution (HSE, quality, cost, timing, etc.) and report them to the responsible persons.
  • Assist in the integration of newcomers to the project by coaching them as needed.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the biotech/pharma production sector in a GMP environment or in other comparable sectors (food, petrochemical, etc.).
  • Eager to work in a high-tech environment.
  • Good knowledge of automated systems.
  • Ability to positively challenge and argue.
  • Ability to handle urgent situations.
  • Proficiency in French.
