  • Master's degree or engineering school specialised in chemistry and/or Master's degree specialised in innovation management
Technical skills:
  • Knowledge and experience of innovation management processes
  • Previous experience of leading innovation or collective intelligence workshops
  • Ability to acquire new knowledge and skills, curiosity
  • Good interpersonal skills, particularly for relations with Business Units and customers
  • Strong ability to communicate, convince and propose attractive alternatives
  • Excellent assertiveness and critical thinking skills
  • Good resistance to stress
  • Good organisational and project management skills
  • B driving licence i.e driving licence for a car weighing less than 3.5 tonnes
Computing skills:
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Ideally knowledge of SharePoint, Forms, Engage (eg. Yammer), Klaxoon or equivalent

  • English: level C1

Innovation management ensures 4 missions to support this transformation: acculturation to innovation, facilitation of creativity and collective intelligence workshops and design thinking missions, open-innovation and management of portfolio for duplicating innovations. It is not intended to innovate on its own. Focused on business innovations, it provides support to entities in Europe, America and the East. Its workforce is 5 people supported by a communications unit of 2 work-study students.The major objective of the innovation officer is to support the professions in their transformation in order to serve the ambition of Refining Chemistry: industrial competitiveness including Safety, growth in petrochemicals, low-carbon products. The innovation officer is agile and his/her mission can vary over the months and the needs of his/her internal clients. However, its primary mission is to support professions in their need to innovate, from the emergence of a problem to the implementation of solutions. Its activities consist of defining needs, designing workshops and running them, and monitoring the implementation of innovations. The other innovation management activities nevertheless remain within its scope. The innovation officer in Brussels works in concert and with the support of the team in Paris. He/She reports to the Director of the Financial Operations Division for administrative reasons because no person from the entity (IVM) is present in Brussels. IVM, to which RC innovation belongs, also integrates digital. As he/she will be the only member of the IVM in Brussels, he/she will have to make contacts within the other entities present on site.Context & EnvironmentThe selected candidate will receive a VIE allowance according to the Business France rates.Please check the following website to make sure that your application complies with the criteria to carry out a VIE assignment:You must be between 18 and 28 years old, and be a national of a country in the European Economic Area.Please apply in English !
