Job purpose:The Sales manager GDL is a critical role in the GSK BeLux local operating company, accountable for the commercial success of the GSK portfolio for Specialty, Vaccines & General Medicines.You will be accountable for the creation & implementation of a GDL Sales Business Plan based on the Specialty, General Medicines & Vaccines Operational Brand Plans.You will lead a team of sales representatives and strive for best-in-industry sales performance through discipline in execution, coaching, performance management and a strong focus on people development.You will actively engage with key external stakeholders in the GDL healthcare community and you will work closely together with the GSK cross-functional teams of Specialty, Vaccines & General Medicines.This role is critical for ensuring all eligible GDL patients or people at risk can benefit from our medications & vaccines in Specialty, General Medicines & Vaccines.You will report to the Business Unit Head General Medicines with dotted line to the Business Unit Heads Specialty & Vaccines.BackgroundGSK has a strong commercial presence in GDL with market leadership for all our priority brands in Specialty, Vaccines & General Medicines. GDL plays an important role & contributes strongly to the overall success of the GSK BeLux local operating company.It is our ambition to further strengthen our leadership in GDL through the continued growth & increasing competitivity of our in-line priority brands & through new launches of life-changing medicines vaccines, thereby improving the lives of GDL patients.Your responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of sales representatives visiting specialists & general practitioners. Strive for best-in-industry sales performance through discipline in execution, coaching and performance management
  • Strongly focus on people development and a continuous improvement (growth mindset) culture
  • Lead the creation & implementation of a GDL Sales Business Plan based on the Specialty, General Medicines & Vaccines Operational Brand Plans – including localization to the needs of the GDL market
  • Provide input to Business Unit Head on Sales Force Allocation for GenMed, Vaccines & Specialty
  • Track GDL sales performance and A&P spend
  • Contribute to GDL financial forecasting & manage supply together with internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate and provide input to B2B team for GDL tenders as well as wholesalers relationships
  • Lead engagement with EEs & professional societies together with the medical team
  • Collaborate with the CGA & Market Access team for activities with specific external stakeholders such as Federal agency, payers, trade association, press, …
Why you?Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of sales manager experience
  • Demonstrated commercial success in pharmaceuticals
  • Thorough understanding of the GDL healthcare landscape and competitive environment
  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management & people development
  • Strong commercial acumen, quick to grasp opportunities
  • Passion for patients – driven to improve the lives of GDL patients
  • Strong customer focus - demonstrated ability to engage with key external stakeholders
  • Flexibility in approach and adaptability to work effectively in multicultural environments
  • Strong ability to engage internal cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Full-time local presence in GDL is required
  • Fluent in English and French, knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish is a plus
