Acting as a key sparring partner and right hand to the CFO, you will provide strategic financial insights and continuously improve processes to support our dynamic, scaling environment. Coaching and leading our Finance Accountant and building out a finance team in line with our company growth will be the cherry on top of your endeavors.Here is what you can expect in this role:Taking ownership of the key end-to-end financial processes: accounting, consolidation, tax, controlling and reporting.Ensuring full compliance with Belgian legal, tax, and accounting requirements. You will roll up your sleeves and get it done! For example:o monthly closings and financial reports,o monthly VAT returns & other legal filingso complying with corporate income taxes, annual accounts, transfer pricing obligations, etc.Managing the day-to-day tasks (international accounting, payments, budgets, forecasts, cost control) is just as important to you as the bigger strategic projects.Liaising with external accountants, tax consultants, auditors, banks, and subsidy agencies alike is no challenge for you as you are a natural communicator.Identifying and implementing process improvements (ex. automation of KPI reporting, accounting & invoicing flows) is rewarding to you.You will help with fleet, expense management, insurances and subsidies.Strategy is of utmost importance to you, supporting business planning and decision-making with financial modeling and business cases sounds like music to your ears.You’d fit in well if you:Have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in internal finance operations, ideally including time spent in a scaling or international environment. Additional background in audit or consulting is a plus.Possess strong and in-depth knowledge of BEGAAP A-Z accounting (knowledge on IFRS a plus) and tax regulations, as well as financial consolidation in international settings.Have hands-on experience with VAT returns, corporate tax declarations, and Belgian annual reporting obligations.Are a hands-on teamplayer, ready to dive into the details, yet capable of stepping back to see the bigger picture.Are pragmatic, solution-oriented, and comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment. You like to bring a good balance between a hands-on operational execution and strategic big picture thinking.You take great pride in your eye for detail and analytical mindset.Affinity and experience with the tech industry and SaaS/PaaS offerings.Communicate fluently in both Dutch and English.Are proficient with accounting tools, Excel, and preferably reporting software.
