About the roleAs a Technical Engineer Site Equipment, every day is different. You visit construction sites, solve technical problems, follow up maintenance and repairs and manage a team of technical employees. In short: you are the hub of our sites, the Technical Superintendent Site Equipment who keeps everything running. What you'll doSummarize your job in three words? That's almost impossible. But organising, controlling and delegating come close. That is why you consult and make agreements with various parties, from electricians to drivers and from sales people to site managers - according to your own planning.
  • You coordinate and closely monitor the technical planning and day-to-day organisation of the site equipment. Is there a technical problem? Then you roll up your sleeves yourself or send a technician on site. You report to the Manager Heavy Equipment Benelux.
  • You motivate the technical staff on site and support them if necessary.
  • You maintain an overview of the stock of our site equipment and if necessary order new parts or material for the conversion of machines.
  • You coordinate the technical maintenance works and repairs of large rolling site equipment and technical site installations. You are also responsible for inspections of equipment, lifting equipment and electrical installations.
  • You carefully keep track of the condition and location of each vehicle and other technical equipment through a clear administration. For this, you use tools such as an ERP programme, which you use to create work orders, look up spare parts and check the history of the equipment.
Two months on, one month offDepending on the phase of your project and your development, you will work at the office in Aalst or on one of our projects worldwide. In Aalst, you work a forty-hour week with occasional work from home. As an expat on one of our projects worldwide, you work two months with 12-hour workdays, six days a week, followed by one month off. What do you need to have? You are fascinated by large vehicles and technical installations. Excavators, bulldozers, rollers, cranes and telescopic handlers: you could watch them endlessly and love doing nothing more than to tinker with them. A broken hydraulic pump, leaking valve, short circuits or overloads? You know how to handle it (or you know the right person to solve the problem)!
  • You have a lot of technical knowledge. A passion for heavy (agricultural) vehicles is a plus.
  • You obtained a Master's or Bachelor's degree with specialization in mechanical or electromechanical engineering.
  • A challenge? You do not shy away from it. No, you see it as an opportunity to show what you are made of!
  • You explain complex technical information in a way that everyone understands.
  • You are a crack in organizing things and you ensure that people, materials and machines are in the right place at the right time.
  • You like to learn. From a practical in-company training with one of our suppliers to training courses to develop yourself as a person, you will seize learning opportunities with great enthusiasm!
