Job descriptionWithin the assembly team of Airtec we are looking for a quality engineer with a project manager profile. This person is responsible for managing the quality within FB3, more specifically:Communication with the customer:you are the SPOC for the Airtec customers worldwide. All customer complaints and questions about quality come to you. You distribute these within the organization and give feedback to the customers.Guaranteeing qualityYou supervise the introduction of new and modified products and processes; you qualify the processes.Managing and collaborating within the quality team and other departments of Airtec:You oversee a few auditors and 1 foreman operated quality. They support you with the analysis of customer complaints and rejection of test, handling rejection of the line, support within production, administration of scrapping and rework.Together with this team you are responsible for the quality in Assembly, Z-coat and NAPP and final test of Airtec.You follow up the output of this team and ensure that the right priorities are set.Longer term improvements:Together with the team, team coach, and production manager, you will look at a further horizon to see how the above-mentioned aspects of your task can be carried out more efficiently and stably in the longer term. All this with an eye for safety, ergonomics, and quality.Managing and supporting the digitization of our quality department.Treatment and investigation of quality problems and analysis of root causesTogether with your team, you monitor the quality produced, for this you analyze the quality figures and propose improvement actions. You also adjust the daily production by means of product and process audits.In case of quality problems on the line, you take the lead, together with the auditors and technical assistant you look for the root cause, whereby consultation with operators (Dutch), foreman is necessary. You are responsible for the communication, and you keep an overview of the necessary and ongoing actions, you take care of the communication to the parties involved.In case of critical quality problems, you ensure complete and direct containment.Reporting quality figuresYou report the quality figures to the management on PQM, for which you also do the necessary administration and work out improvements in this regard.Collaboration within the team and with other departments of Airtec:You take the improvement actions you define up with the foreman and manufacturing engineers within the team.You consult with other departments (casings, rotors, SQA, ...) so that the problem can be solved completely and in all areas.You take the lead and follow up on the actions.Specifically, we are looking for someone who has a passion for technology, is meticulous with quality and likes to take on the challenge of improving things. This means that working with people, taking the lead to implement the improvements, bringing people together and convincing people around your ideas should not deter you.Educational requirementsYou have at least a master's degree in industrial sciences, engineering or equivalent through experienceKnowledge of Airtec products / processes and logistics systems / coating processes are an additional advantage.Knowledge of concepts such as SPC, CAQ, R&R, ...You master the necessary IT tools including MS Office, power BI, power appsData processing skills : Databricks, Power Automate and SQLLanguage skills: knowledge of Dutch or you are willing to learn this (consultation with operators) and English (communication with customers)Personality requirementsYou are very customer-oriented and flexible.You dare to make the necessary decisions in the interest of quality, even if the production output is under pressure.You are passionate about technology and follow technological evolutions closely.You recognize opportunities to qualitatively improve and safeguard our processes and succeed in integrating them economically.You have analytical skills and a healthy portion of creativity.You work accurately on correct reporting.You communicate smoothly, you are a team player and can motivate people.You focus on short-term successes but also look at the longer term to bring long-term stability.You have a broad interest in safety, quality, environment, ergonomics, and business economics.We add value wherever we do businessAirtec is a division within Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique business area.
