Bordet - Laboratory Technician for the Cancer Ecosystems and Metastasis Laboratory - Fixed term contract of 1 year (possibilities to extend) - Full time

• Oversee and maintain mouse colonies, including breeding, genotyping (DNA extraction, PCR), and meticulous record-keeping.
• Participate in animal experiments as required.
• Manage and update the mouse colony database.
• Ensure compliance with institutional and ethical guidelines for animal care and use.

• Perform molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and gel electrophoresis.
• Maintain laboratory stocks, place orders for supplies, and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
• Enforce lab safety regulations and contribute to the improvement of experimental procedures.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during experiments.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in biomedical sciences, biotechnology, animal care, or a related field.
• FELASA B/C certification with proven experience in mouse handling and colony maintenance.
• Prior experience in molecular and cell biology techniques.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
• Fluency in French and English, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
