- Actively participate in the strategic procurement activities for the General Industrial Services subcategory in Belgium.
- Building transparency of the expenditure subcategory in Belgium and stimulating cost reduction
- Working closely with internal customers and logistics people in branches to achieve effective strategic procurement and business continuity.
- Working closely with Lead Buyers to conduct research on supply markets, pricing benchmarks and supplier profiles.
- Carrying out supplier selection, negotiations and contracts for the factories/sites.
- Developing and maintaining supplier profiles: Managing supplier relationships and monitoring compliance with contracts.
- Delivering savings and subcategory KPI goals and assisting Lead Buyer with necessary analyses:
- Spend data analysis and basic financial analysis
- Performance Reporting
- Development of category strategy (e.g. supplier market research, price benchmarks)
- Maintenance of supplier profile
- Achieve effective procurement and business continuity through collaboration with internal customers in different locations .
- Participate in cross-cutting working groups and projects.
- You have a master's degree in Economics, Engineering or Supply Chain.
- You have a successful track record in procurement. 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis is a plus.
- As a true buyer, you have problem-solving and analytical skills and a good sense of numbers.
- You have a good technical knowledge of contracts and targeted systems, as well as project management and negotiations.
- You combine a strong personality/leadership and communication skills with an appetite for information about innovative trends in the sector and for market analysis.
- You are result- and customer-oriented, you are able to work under time pressure and manage changes.
- In addition to Dutch, you are fluent in English. Any other European language is appreciated.
